Do you charge non-Tesla EVs?+
Yes. We carry Tesla NACS and J1772 connectors as standard, which cover essentially every EV on US roads — Tesla, Rivian, Ford, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Polestar, BMW, and the rest. CCS1 fast charging is available on request at additional cost.
How much does it cost?+
$175 flat to start. Add $50 if your dispatch is between 2am and 6am. Beyond our 50-mile radius from Pasadena we quote a custom rate. A dead 12V jump start is included at no extra charge.
What does $175 actually buy me?+
Enough charge delivered on the side of the road to reach the nearest Supercharger or Level 3 station. We are an emergency service — we get you out of the moment, not a replacement for fast charging.
How fast can you get to me?+
Average about an hour from request to arrival inside our 50-mile service area. Closer to Pasadena means faster — under 30 minutes is common in Pasadena, Altadena, Glendale, and Burbank.
What is your service area?+
A 50-mile radius from our Pasadena base, covering the entire LA basin, San Gabriel Valley, Hollywood and the Westside out to Santa Monica, Long Beach, parts of Orange County, and the Inland Empire as far as Pomona and Ontario. Outside 50 miles? Call us — we will quote a custom rate.
Do you operate 24/7?+
Yes. After-hours dispatches between 2am and 6am add $50 to the base price.
What if my 12V battery is also dead?+
Included. We jump-start the 12V before connecting the EV charger. No extra charge — it is part of every dispatch.
What if my car will not accept the charge?+
Some EVs lock out their charging system after a deep discharge (battery management protection). If we cannot get power into your car after troubleshooting on scene, we will refer you to a tow service. Per our refund policy, the dispatch charge still applies in these cases.
When do I pay?+
At booking. We capture payment via Stripe when you confirm the dispatch. Refunds are issued for our operational failures (truck breakdown, generator failure, ETA exceeded by 60+ minutes without notice). Customer-side issues (vehicle will not accept charge, customer not on scene, customer cancels after dispatch) are non-refundable.
Can I schedule a non-emergency charge?+
Right now, scheduled (non-emergency) charging is handled by phone — call us to arrange a window. Self-serve scheduling is on the roadmap.
Do you serve fleets?+
Yes — for small local fleets like HVAC, electricians, plumbers, and contractors with 2 to 20 EVs. Call us for a fleet quote tailored to your call volume and SLA needs.
Are you insured?+
Yes — we carry commercial general liability and commercial auto insurance. Carrier and policy details will be displayed in our footer once coverage levels are independently verified.
How do you actually charge the car?+
A generator-powered EV charger mounted on our service van. We connect via NACS (Tesla) or J1772 (everything else with a J1772 port). CCS1 is available on request at additional cost.
Why not Level 3 / DC fast charging?+
Our hardware delivers Level 2 equivalent on-site charging — fast enough to get you to a Supercharger, not a replacement for one. We bridge you back to the existing fast-charging network.
What if I am stranded in a parking garage?+
Most public and apartment garages work fine. Tell us about clearance and access when you call so we can plan. Occasionally a tight garage will require pushing the car a few feet to where the service vehicle can reach.
Which vehicles do you NOT support?+
Pre-2018 Nissan Leafs and older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEVs use the CHAdeMO connector, which we do not currently support. We can refer you to a tow service in those cases.
Can my roadside plan or insurance reimburse this?+
Some roadside or auto-insurance plans reimburse third-party EV service. We text an itemized receipt that you can submit. We are not currently in-network with any insurer or auto club.
Where are you based?+
Pasadena, CA. Service radius is 50 miles from our base.
